Sited on a steep slope overlooking Lake Washington this David Coleman designed custom home is anchored to the hillside with a 13 foot high concrete foundation wall. Materials include galvanized welded wire mesh attached to a framework of steel columns, vertical steel siding with anodized aluminum trim panels, steel exterior and interior stair structures with mahogany treads. Interior finished include vertical grain Douglas fir cabinetry with Paperstone counter tops, maple flooring stained black, and tempered glass panel stairway enclosure.
Building with less traditional materials and techniques often requires increased attention to detail to maintain long term weather protection and trim integrity. We heartily welcome these challenges.
